Javelina Fishing’s Baffin Bay Classic
Rules & Regulations
1) All entrants must read and sign waiver stating they understand and will follow all rules of the tournament.
2) All entrants must have a valid fishing license.
3) Participants must abide by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department rules and regulations.
4) NO bow fishing and NO trapping.
5) Participants are not allowed to pool fish together.
6) Live, dead, and artificial baits are permitted.
7) No more than 2 rods in the water per angler at a time.
8) ALL ANGLERS MUST LAUNCH FROM KAUFER HUBERT MEMORIAL PARK.
9) Onsite registration will be on April 4th from 12AM-8AM.
10) All pre-registered and onsite registered anglers must check in and obtain a wristband prior to their first cast in order to be allowed to compete in the tournament. Check in begins on April 4th at 12:01AM. Your wristband must be on in order to weigh in your fish. Any violators will be automatically disqualified with no refund.
11) Weigh in is from 12PM-2PM. You must be in line with your fish in hand by no later than 2PM. (No exceptions!) No scale or ruler will be provided by the weighmaster. The fish you pick is the fish that will be entered. If your fish is oversized or disqualified you will not be able to enter another fish.
WEIGHMASTER HAS FINAL SAY IN ALL FISH RELATED MATTERS.
12) Winners may be subjected to a lie detector test.

Heaviest Stringer -$40.00 Entry Fee
Stringer Consists of:
(1) - Slot Size Black Drum
Length in Inches (Minimum - Maximum)
(14" - 30")
(1) - Slot Size Redfish
Length in Inches (Minimum - Maximum)
(20"- 28")
(1) - Slot Size Speckled Trout
Length in Inches (Minimum - Maximum)
(15"- 25")
You DO NOT have to have a complete stringer to weigh in for this category and you CANNOT weigh more than one of the same fish (i.e. 2 redfish and 1 trout).
Side Pots
Heaviest Slot Black Drum - $10 entry
Heaviest Slot Redfish - $10 entry
Heaviest Slot Trout - $10 entry
The same fish used for your stringer may be used for side pots.

(the participant), understand that this is a “fish at your own risk” benefit tournament for the Javelina Fishing Student Organization. The Javelina Fishing Student Organization, its university staff, club members, volunteers, and Texas A&M University - Kingsville are not responsible for any theft of any type of equipment, damages to any type of equipment, or injury of any type that may occur during the participation of this event.
